The corresponding photo provides a glimpse of what we experience at the Annual Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor Summit. Ok, the photo may be from a concert and the summit is not quite a smoky, cellphone lit, loud event (full disclosure- it can get a little loud and wild), however, as audience members we are enthralled with the magnificent presentations of MHFA National Trainers, Instructors, and other keynote speakers.
On April 14, 2024, in our hometown of St. Louis, MO, myself and two good friends and amazing instructors will be conducting a presentation titled, "Teaching in Tandem: Tips for Teaching Mental Health First Aid with a Co-Instructor. Our presentation will dive into the many reasons to co-instruct when possible and what topics to discuss with our co-instructor prior to, during, and following a MHFA training. We'll be presenting in a super fun and engaging manner including ASK questions, demonstrating how to have some of the challenging conversations with our co-instructor, and creating space for attendees to practice some of the skills we introduce.
