Service Description

We train your team to identify co-workers experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety, depression, potentially suicidal persons, psychosis, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and substance use disorders. Participants learn how to provide immediate, short term care for self or others needing support until the crisis ends or professional help is acquired. This research based training gives attendees the confidence to act early in getting friends, family members, co-workers, and others assistance. Workplace productivity and morale are positively impacted when employees feel comfortable coming to work without fear a co-worker may become violent or abusive if they are "set off." This training is tailored to the organization we are supporting so that participants learn their own agency policies and regulations as well as available resources. Due to the interactive nature of this training the course needs a minimum of five personnel and maximum of 30 personnel and can be held at your site of choice or virtually. The training team is willing to travel to provide this training. Instructors are certified by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and are evaluated on our performance annually to ensure the highest standards of training proficiency are upheld. Instructors are passionate about sharing this information because of their life experiences with family members having mental health problems. Please visit www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org for additional details regarding the organization and the training details. Please contact us for rates tailored to provide this knowledge to your Team. Each training participant receives a comprehensive manual ($25.00 value) and other resources ($10.00 value) that participants use during the training and keep. Trainings include over 20 hours of two instructors administrative and teaching time. The training is valued at $170.00, however, is offered at a rate to meet your budget.
